WorkForce 2000

WorkForce 2000 is a year-round academic program designed to help 1199SEIU youth succeed in high school, prepare for college and explore career interests. In a peer setting, coursework assistance is offered on a NYC college campus during the summer and on select Saturdays throughout the school year. Once the member receives the benefit, all students participate in the program for two phases: Phase I: Summer Programming Academic programming and career exploration July through August; Monday to Friday Phase II: Saturday Academic Programming Supplemental academic enrichment and college planning September through June; select Saturdays at New York University In addition, the WorkForce 2000 program offers a dynamic opportunity for youth leadership and development, fostering self-awareness, social awareness and independence.
